Our Physiotherapists are trained in manual therapy, acupuncture, cupping, taping and use a variety of modalities (ultrasound, muscle stimulation, TENS), in order to get you back on track fast.

Cara completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Prior to this, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Specialization in Kinesiology from Queen’s University.

Cara has a passion for continuing her education and professional development. She has received certifications in concussion diagnosis and management, manual therapy, taping, acupuncture, laser therapy and ergonomic assessment. She represented Canada at the Global Health Institute in Norway, where she learned about disability and its impact on rehabilitation. In addition to being a physiotherapist at the Ontario ParaSport Games, Cara provides physiotherapy coverage for local rugby teams. Cara also enjoys research, and her research has been published in the Physiotherapy Canada Journal.

Cara has experience treating a wide variety of conditions and injuries in athletes, adults and kids. She has worked in private practice, acute care, and rehabilitation settings. In these settings she has enjoyed collaborating closely with surgeons, physicians, and other rehabilitation specialists. When not working, Cara enjoys traveling, playing sports, and relaxing at her cottage up North.

Cara is very excited to be a member of the Spot Physiotherapy team. As a long-time resident of Brooklin, she enjoys treating individuals within her community. She is dedicated to providing patient-centred care and educating patients about their condition or injury. Heather completed her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University after graduating with distinction from the Human Kinetics undergraduate program at the University of Guelph. As a lifelong learner, she is continuously building her clinical skills and has taken several post-graduate courses including vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, evidence-based cupping, neuro-proprioceptive taping, and osteoporosis management.

Heather assists people with their recovery from general orthopedic injuries and enjoys working with pre- and post-surgical patients, athletes, and everyone in-between. She specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and treats a variety of conditions, including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Meniere’s, Acoustic Neuroma, Vestibular Neuritis, Unilateral Vestibular Loss (UVL), Bilateral Vestibular Loss (BVL), and more. Heather also addresses a wider range of balance dysfunctions, dizziness-related symptoms, and falls prevention, as well as performing baseline concussion assessments and treating concussion-related symptoms.

During her many years’ experience as a Physiotherapist, Registered Kinesiologist, Bonefit Trained Professional through Osteoporosis Canada, CSEP – Certified Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor, Heather has helped people reach their goals as they navigate various acute injuries and chronic conditions. She has a passion for education and invites her patients to take an active role in determining what their wellness journeys will look like.

Jessie completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at Queen’s University in 2024 after obtaining her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology (HBScKin) degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Jessie’s passion for health and fitness grew significantly during her undergraduate studies, and fitness continues to be a big part of who she is. Jessie is eager to utilize her knowledge and skill set to deliver personalized, evidence based physiotherapy services to clients of all ages and activity levels. Jessie values viewing each client as a partner in their health journey, and through the use of therapeutic exercise, education, and hands on techniques, is dedicated to helping them optimize their well being and reach their goals.

Jessie has physiotherapy experience in various settings including the ICU, emergency departments, hospital-based out-patient units, and multiple private practice clinics, which have provided her with a diverse skill set.

Steven completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2020. He previously competed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UOIT in 2016. He worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant from 2016-2018 before he was inspired by the Physiotherapists that he worked with to pursue his Master’s. He enjoys working and engaging with people across a variety of ages, from teens to older adults, and he looks forward to working with active individuals to get them back to their favourite pastimes or ready to engage in new ones. He has previously taught group exercise classes in retirement homes in Pickering, and helped run Pole-Walking exercise classes in his hometown of Uxbridge.

Steven likes to incorporate a balance of manual therapy, education, and exercise in his treatment sessions, and is excited to use the resources at Spot Physiotherapy to help his patients achieve their goals. To Steven, a culture of healthy active living and happiness go hand-in-hand, and he wishes to use his position in the community to encourage this culture of health.

Steven believes that in order for one to promote a healthy lifestyle one has to adopt a healthy lifestyle. He enjoys hiking through forests, running, and working out at home. Andrea has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2000 and is a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. Andrea is very excited to be joining the talented group at Spot Physiotherapy. Being able to offer her patients multiple treatment options all in one location is an advantage to the patient and therapist.

Over her 20 years of treatments, Andrea has been fortunate to work in a variety of multidisciplinary clinics, spas, wellness clinics and a home based practice. The different workplace locations have allowed her to train on various treatment modalities to tailor and achieve the best treatment outcome for the patient.

Some of the techniques used include swedish massage, myofascial work, pregnancy massage, sports therapy, deep tissue, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy and general relaxation.

Andrea’s love for fitness and nutrition drives her to maintain a balance in her life and strives for a holistic approach for herself, her family, and her patients.

With her busy family life she loves to travel and stay active on her days off.

Jennifer is a physiotherapist whose drive comes from her passion for developing a relationship of trust, encouragement, and unwavering support with each of her clients. Her list of past and present clients crosses the spectrum of both age and ability, having treated everyone from young children and weekend warriors, to professional and Olympic athletes. She thrives on being able to help her clients achieve their personal goals, establishing herself as a dedicated member of their medical team.

Jennifer holds an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from McMaster University (2005) and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto (2007). She has completed an extensive list post-graduate courses, including but not limited to Level 3 manual therapy, pelvic health, McKenzie MDT training, Graston IASTM, and sport taping. In addition, she has provided clinical education to master’s students from Queens University’s physical therapy program and has had the unique experience of working in Haiti with a medical team assisting earthquake survivors. Priyanka has been practicing Physiotherapy since 2011. She has been treating patients of all age groups with a variety of conditions. After treating complex orthopaedic cases, she realized that those with pelvic health issues was an under-serviced population and decided to pursue Pelvic Physiotherapy certification.

Her currently treats incontinence, Pre/Post Natal and Pelvic pain (traumatic/non- traumatic) through a Biopsychosocial approach. Her passion is in addressing the pelvic concerns in men specifically after prostrate problems. Her wealth of knowledge and manual skills helps patients find relief. Her mantra is “empowered patients are happy patients”.

I have had the pleasure of treating in Whitby for ​over 10 years but have been treating in a private clinic since graduating from Queens University in 2003. I also have a degree in Human Kinetics from Ottawa University (1999).

Although I treat all types of injuries, I have a special interest in pelvic health and love teaching wellness classes to keep our active population moving better.
